10 Cover Songs That Don’t Suck
I am not a fan of cover songs. I particularly not a fan of talentless bands being pushed by their record labels to record a proven hit just to sell records. I’m talking about you Limp Bizkit. I am also not a fan of someone taking a true work of art and turning it into a dance hit.
But for all the piece of shit cover songs there are some genuine diamonds. Here’s my list of 10 cover songs that don’t suck. I am in no way saying they are the greatest cover songs of all time, they just happen not to suck. Please don’t email me with “I can’t believe you didn’t list…”. There’s a reason I didn’t list your favorite band or your favorite song, it sucks. Get over it. Something else to ask yourself before you send me nasty hate mail, do you own a System Of A Down CD? If you answer yes, you are disqualified from making any decisions based on taste, and have proven that you have no idea what sucks and what doesn’t.
Let me apologize in advance, while I tried diligently to find “official” videos for each song, in some instances it was impossible to do so. Most of the time I opted for a fan made video over a live recording, simply for the better audio quality.
